Huh, somehow I hadn't checked that tile, even though I could've sworn that I'd thoroughly checked every single one around the lake. But now I know that there is, in fact, a consequence to the Dissonant Fragment! Though I didn't have a save without the fragment, so I can't really compare the two swords. The stats were neat for the one I got, though!

With that, I think I've completed all the loose ends I had in mind. Thanks for helping me out with all this and for putting all kinds of secrets and possibilities into the game! It made it all a great deal of fun and I had a really great time with the game overall. Looking forward to the next entry and seeing where all this goes!

Ah! I figured that one was an actual hint, and I had checked around the park's water, but that didn't get me anywhere? Unless it's a reference to the larger map, and I can see if I stumble across anything.

Hmmm, no, I did get those, they just weren't being counted towards my recruitment total, I don't think. It just said I had seven at the end.

I did get the Outcast! So it seems the only thing I'm missing is the sword. I'll give another go at digging that up.

I can chime in for this now! I had a silly strategy, pretty much the same for the Elder Bunyip.

Party was Nolan, Gregory, Isaiah, and Bridget. Isaiah was the lowest level (79) and the others were around 85. Isaiah had the protection build, which was his main purpose in this fight. Have Isaiah defend, tank all the hits for little damage, have Nolan cast Deterioration for continuous damage on the DQ then Chainsaw her every turn, Gregory cast Ebonflame on DQ, and Bridget buff party magic defense, remove poison on Isaiah, and do continuous healing as needed. Between Nolan and Gregory, I'd hit DQ for about 20% every turn, so she wouldn't cast a spell or attack and it would just trigger her Phalanx Fighting buffs every turn instead, so she never had a chance to seriously endanger the party.

Aha! Answered my own question. I don't think I had the Broken Sword, though. Any hints on where to look for that? 

Also, I'm assuming I missed at least one Eloin recruitment somewhere. 7 was my final count. Dan's mom, Delphine, Zaindari, Jack, the Eloin of war, the one who shows up in Pedregal, and the one near Accoro. Anywhere else I should have looked?

Was there ever a quest connected to the Elder Bunyip, or was he just an optional superboss?

Wait, you can get into Goldspire? How? (Or is that the endgame area?)

#3. Aha! I'd found him there forever ago, but it was before I'd advanced Dan's quest to that point, so I'd completely forgotten that was something he was selling.

#2. Ah, okay, that makes more sense. I did a quick run-through of the map and the Goldspire was the other one I was thinking of, as well as returning to the swamp after the Eloin quest. Also, the Researcher's ID in Tomcallo was what I was thinking of as a keycard, as you find it after getting the notes about the observatory in the clinic. Totally understand cutting back scope when you're running the whole thing yourself, though!

#1. Didn't make the Delphine connection! I'd found the Accoro connection post-quest (the other two I'd found early) and figured that might have been part of it, but I wouldn't have guessed Delphine's relevance at all.

I did find the sword and shield! It's part of why I figured that conversation had greater relevance across the game, just wasn't sure if it also affected the order of events. Thanks again for all the help and insight!

I didn't want to post separate boards for these, but I had a couple questions that I wanted to check-in for to see if things are intended for the sequel, or I just missed something.

1. Is it possible to not fight your friends? You had to actually choose to attack them, but no other option was available. Butler later had that encounter with the Eloin about the power of choice and making the right choices, but that didn't seem to come up anywhere else. I don't think it's possible for Butler to have that quest before fighting your friends, but I could be wrong.

2. Is it possible to get into the observatory? I received the keycard, and Elam mentions going there, but nothing seemed to trigger for it, just mentions going there 'in the future'. (The observatory could be a level trigger and require Elam to not be bugged. I had a save file with the bugged Elam that went to level 80 and ended the game, but I haven't gotten there with non-bugged Elam yet) The same dialogue shows up with bot fights and a couple other places on the map.

3. This isn't a sequel question, but it is driving me nuts. Where do I find the bizarre fruit for Dan's garden? The only hint is a 'time machine', and that's not getting me anywhere.

Ahhhh, I was resetting after the office run, not before, so I didn't even think to check that guy from the beginning. That solved the whole post-mission issue (I luckily had a save right before talking to Elam), but glad I was able to point out the less-perfect scenario issue!

Hi again!

The hotfix definitely fixed the last issue, but I'm encountering a different bug with Elam's quest to attack the rebels. I completed it once (is it possible to find all the rebels? I kept resetting to look, but I couldn't find more after checking every possible square), but it doesn't seem to lock in as complete. When I go back to Pedregal Springs, Elam's back and asking me to do it all over again. If I accept, I have to reset the game as the ruins have already been cleared, so the quest can't actually be redone. I also can't enter Tocamllo from the front. If I sneak in through the ruins again, the game will recognize everything as post-quest and I can talk to the NPCs normally, but trying to enter through the front causes dialogue like the rebels are still in control and I can't get in.

I seem to be stuck in The Hive with no way out? I managed to get all the way to the boss, but I'm underleveled/underequipped to deal with her, and it seems you can't backtrack once you go in, so I'm at a loss as to what to do. Previous quests had only opened up when you were a sufficient level to deal with them, so I'm a little confused how this one was available with such a drastic shift for the boss. Is there a way to leave the dungeon that I'm unaware of?
